The University of Maryland sees tens of thousands of students cross its campus each day. Sophomores Autumn Johnson and Elena Ugarte are just two of these students, connected only by their undergraduate status at this university. Ugarte is a student in UMD’s English Department and a member of the Honors Humanities program while Johnson is a student at the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice as well as the Department of Psychology.
