On Friday September 28th, the entire University of Maryland Campus was shut down to prepare for the huge game against Big 10 rival Penn State. Families and students tailgated across campus before lining up to get into the stadium. Some students even showed up early to get a free t-shirt.
Penn State won the game 59-0. However, the potential for an upset of a stronger opponent inspired an excitement that hasn’t been seen in Maryland Football fans for quite some time. The environment was electric.
