Millions gathered across the globe mid-day Friday to take part in possibly the largest climate strike in history. The movement, inspired by Swedish Climate Activist, Greta Thunberg, age 16, encourages children and teens to take charge of their future by advocating for anti-global warming initiatives through school and work strikes.
The demonstration in Washington, D.C. consisted of a march from the John and Marshall Memorial Park to the lawn of the U.S. Capital building where participants gathered to chant and listen to the speeches.
